The immorality of liberalism

By Tom Quiner

American liberalism is defined by two economic actions: more government spending and higher taxes.

As a result, the national debt has ballooned to $17 Trillion as lavish spending has outpaced prodigious tax hikes.

If you’re under the age of 30 years, you will be buried in a mountain of debt if something isn’t done about it.

Liberals say the prescription is to cut defense spending. But that’s not the problem. The problem is the big three legacy government entitlement programs: Social Security; Medicare; and Medicaid.

In the early 70s, they consumed 21% of government spending; but today, it has risen to 42%. In other words, it doubled in one generation, and will eventually consume all government spending unless something drastic takes place.

If you left behind a mountain of unfunded debt that your kids were forced to pay, so you could “enjoy your money” now, that would be immoral. What kind of parent would do such a thing?

But this is exactly the immoral economic policy embraced by American liberalism. (In fairness, the Republican Party has contributed to the immorality in defiance of their conservative base.)

We are in essence redistributing wealth from the poorest Americans (the young) to the wealthiest (older Americans).

The demographic decline in America has significantly reduced the ability of today’s young to milk the resources of tomorrow’s young and continue the gravy train in place right now.

Someone is going to have to pay the piper unless something is done. The video above provides a simple solution. It was produced by Prager University and features the Cato Institute’s Michael Tanner.

If you have kids or grandkids, you owe it to them to watch this 305 second course in economic common sense.

The FIRST place the average Christian man can actually have a profound effect on this situation is by becoming member of their local Board of Education. Most people who believe in socialism vs. democracy begin that journey through the secularized educational system which has wiped out any reference to God and His directive for men to take full responsibility for himself and his family. I believe that rather than being liberal vs. conservative, it is actually atheism vs. Christianity that defines people’s expectations from life. Liberals believe they are entitled to whatever they can grab in this life, even if it means destroying other people’s lives to acquire it. Christians believe the EXACT OPPOSITE because we do not believe this earth is the end of the road.

Good point. Our educational system has jerked way left. Our kids are being indoctrinated into a state-sanctioned religion I characterize as “neo paganism,” which I know is politically-incorrect. But, hey, this is a conservative blog. Thanks for writing. Great to hear from you.

Radical feminists invented political correctness and you know I abhor what they’ve done to women, and by association, the world. If we are ever to regain the ground we’ve lost to these female leftists losers, it is required of us to tell the truth and therefore become as politically incorrect as possible. Neo-paganism is an excellent description of what has filled the void left behind by the removal of the high standards of behavior associated with God and Christianity in our pubilc schools.

I characterize the feminists to whom you refer as Marxist feminists. They are losing their grip on young women slowly but surely. The issue is human abortion. The Respect Life movement increasingly resonates with young people, who flock to Marches for Life in growing numbers. The Respect Life movement can’t help but draw people closer to God as we see the beauty of His creation in the womb. Republican candidates need to remember that it is these Respect Life voters who are the passion and the energy of their base. I will only support a rock solid pro life candidate in the primaries (or in Iowa, the Caucus). Your insights are always excellent. Thanks for weighing in.
