I understand the point of the cartoon but it is offensive and i am surprised that many find this funny. not everybody who is black voted for the system that is in place now but yet there are people calling themselves conservatives and christians who are showing their true hate for blacks. God said in his word to render to Caesar what is Caesars and render to God’s what is God’s and counting on Caesar is not counting on God. the two just don’t mix with me. This cartoon is not funny it is quite racist. These are the things that Jesus is coming to judge and the tribulation period is close people need to repent

No, it is not racist. It is political satire. It equates two equally offensive violations of their First Amendment rights: forcing people to dishonor their belief system by supporting racism or so-called same-sex-marriage.

I don’t find it offensive at all. It is exactly what Tom said it is, political satire. It is not meant to offend. It is meant to drive home a point about the hypocrisy that is liberalism. It should make you wonder exactly how this situation would play out in real life. If a black business owner were to deny service to a member of the KKK, or any racist organization, he or she would be hailed as a hero for standing up for his or her beliefs. But when a Christian business owner stood up for her beliefs she was threatened with a lawsuit from the customer and with heavy fines from the state and faced a storm of hate from the media and from gays and gay rights supporters. That is hypocrisy in its purest form.

If this was not meant to offend why use race then why not use another example considering that this country have a long history of racism toward black Americans that nobody cares about that is the biggest holocaust ever . The KKK was apart of this holocaust not to mention the slave ships that killed a whole lot of people had this been done to any european person this would have been looked at as horrible like you guys are doing now . America is a very racist country hypocrisy is right on . I am a Christian but I sure do recognize racist stuff and this is it the example could have been given in a different way . this is closet racism. God will answer that with those who think it is funny

Why use race instead of another example? Would it have mattered? Regardless of what particular theme was chosen, someone somewhere would have been offended by it. I understand and respect your viewpoint, but I stand by my opinion also that this was not intended to be racist. It was meant to, and did, make a point about how much the Anti-Christian liberalism point-of-view has taken over this country.

I am not liberal and I am a black person I am just offering you advice on this issue and just telling you it is offensive. It is offensive to me and yes race is the issue since someone decided to put a black person on there with the cartoon . sorry facts are facts everyone tries to gloss over the racism in this country like it is no big deal and mix that racism with politics what they do not know is that God does not care if anyone is democrat or republican . If one claims to be a believer they should not mix the two cause what happened to blacks in this country with the slave trade it is a great sin that has affected them for generations and people say it is no big deal . I believe Jesus will judge this . I understand what you are trying to point out and the author but people will not look at it like that , especially if they are black it is offensive . many would find it offensive if a Jewish rabbi was put up there with the KKK there would probably be an outrage now do you get my point. It is a race thing that is what I am trying to explain to you. I am not trying to be mean but I want you to understand. thanks

Thanks for sharing your viewpoint, even if I don’t share it. I suspect we are on the same page on many issues. Thanks for taking the time to write.

true hypocrisy is talking about rights at the expense of a racist joke . this could have been presented a different way and this is not funny to me. America is not greater than God and what his word says about causing divisions and disentions politics has nothing to do with God . People need to stop mixing it together. That is more like the mystery babylon of the bible the fake church

Why does everyone have to label behavior etc as offensive? Isn’t there any other way you can criticize this cartoon?

  4. Bob Zimmerman on March 31, 2015 at 8:27 am

To use the name “Bob” in a cartoon is extremely offensive! It negatively affects my self-esteem… It makes me feel bullied!!! Please remove the name immediately!

    • quinersdiner on March 31, 2015 at 9:10 am

Mr. Zimmerman, would it help if I changed the name to “Barack”? 😉
