Why Republicans can trust President Obama

Republicans can count on President Obama.

By that, I mean that they can predict his actions, the way he thinks and reacts.

They can predict who he will go to the mat for, like Planned Parenthood, environmentalists, and our foreign adversaries.

And they can predict who he will confront, like the Catholic Church, oil producers, and our foreign allies.

The video above shows that the president doesn’t find it necessary to express his left wing ideology with fresh rhetoric. He is quite comfortable recycling the same, old tired speeches without changing a word.

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing if he were expressing American ideals and inspiring us to “ask not what our country can do for us.”

But he doesn’t.

His message is one designed to pit Americans against Americans, race against race, non-producers against producers.

His message divides, not unites.

When Mr. Obama was caught on microphone confiding with Russian President, Dmitri Medvedev, that he would be “more flexible” in his second term, Republicans surely were not surprised.

This is a president who has demonstrated no interest in bipartisanship. It is a president who has shown things must be done his way.

Yes, Republicans can trust Mr. Obama to be consistent in opposing anything they propose. He will not have to face voters again. He has signaled to us all with his words to Mr. Medvedev that we can count on him to accelerate the leftward lurch of America when he has more flexibility.

Republicans can trust that President Obama will try to inflict more damage on our country.
