Islamic terrorism is not your fault 22

By Tom QuinerIslamic Terrorism is NOT your fault

April 21st, 2013 Fallujah, Iraq: Nine people at a restaurant are taken out in mid-bite by Mujahid bombers.

April 21st, 2013 Pattani, Thailand: A 49-year-old Buddhist woman is gunned down in a targeted attack by Muslim militants.

April 20th, 2013 Khar, Pakistan: A female Fedayeen blows herself up outside a hospital, taking four innocents with her.

April 15th, 2013 Boston, MA, USA: Foreign-born Muslims describing themselves as ‘very religious’ detonate two bombs packed with ball bearings at the Boston Marathon, killing three people causing several to lose limbs, and seriously injuring hundreds more.
———————————————————————————————————————————————————

America is to blame for the murderous rampages of Islamic thugs.

We brought it on by our arrogance.

We need to hit the “reset” button and “change perceptions” of America in the Muslim world.

Our foreign policy in Iran, Iraq, and throughout the Middle East is responsible for Islamic terrorism.

We’re getting what we deserve.

YOU are at fault, you racist, Judeo-Christian American pig.

I have just recapped several variations of liberals’ world view when it comes to explaining the motivations of the Muslim mass killers terrorizing the world. In essence, there is a burning need to blame US (you) for the murderous rage of Muslim killers.

The liberal doesn’t tend to view them as  fanatics, because a fanatic is irrational. The liberal views the carnage as rational, because America itself is bad and has caused, and deserves, the violence brought on by our own immorality.

Liberal television icon, Tom Brokaw, appeared on Meet the Press over the weekend, and suggested the Boston Marathon bombers, who were radicalized Muslims, were goaded to act because of U.S. drone strikes in Afghanistan. In other words, suggests Mr. Brokaw, we brought it on ourselves:

“I think we also have to examine the use of drones that the United States is involved in and – and there are a lot of civilians who are innocently killed in a drone attack in Pakistan, in Afghanistan, and in Iraq.”

I suspect fellow journalist and writer, Mark Twain might disagree with Mr. Brokaw and his fellow blame-America crowd. Mr. Twain was in Syria back in 1869. Here is what he observed, writing in his book, “Innocents Abroad:”

“Five thousand Christians…were massacred in Damascus in 1861 by the Turks…

Narrow streets ran blood for several days, and that men, women and children were butchered indiscriminately and left to rot by hundreds all through the Christian quarter…the stench was dreadful.

All the Christians who could get away fled from the city, and the Mohammedans would not defile their hands by burying the ‘infidel dogs.’

The thirst for blood extended to the high lands of Hermon and Anti-Lebanon, and in a short time twenty-five thousand more Christians were massacred…”

Muslims have been killing “infidels” down through the ages. It is not America that is to blame. YOU are not at fault. Islam is at fault.

No less a figure than the Ayatolla Khomeini spells out exactly the intent of Islam in this age:

Ayatolla quote

By all accounts, the Boston Marathon bombers are Islamic soldiers bringing the Islamic Holy War to American soil. The President of the United States embarrasses himself and this great nation by refusing to acknowledge the obvious: Islam is waging a world war against the infidels. America is but one battle front. Attacks occur daily in countries spread around the world. I’ve noted a few of the most recent attacks in the bolded sections at the top.

Everyone knows it. And yet the president’s administration called Nidal Hasan’s murderous rampage at Ft. Hood “workplace violence.” What’s he going to call the Marathon bombing? Road rage?

The late, great Archbishop Fulton Sheen prophesied events to come:

“Today (1950), the hatred of the Moslem countries against the West is becoming hatred against Christianity itself. Although the statesmen have not yet taken it into account, there is still grave danger that the temporal power of Islam may return and, with it, the menace that it may shake off a West which has ceased to be Christian, and affirm itself as a great anti-Christian world Power”.

The menace is here.

This war is not your fault no matter what America’s liberal elites may say.

  2. Remember the Bosnian War back in the 1990’s? Did you ever read the headline “Christians are raping Muslim women in masses in an act of ethnic cleansing”. I didn’t. But that is what was going on. All saw it as a horrendous act, but not even the “left biased main stream media” dared to call it out for what it was. Afterall, Christians aren’t allowed to be the bad guys, and let’s face it – they’re Muslims; surely they had it coming.

Your article lists three incidents from around the country from places known for their violence. I guess to prove your point how bad things Muslims are today you felt the need to bring up something that happened 150 years ago in Turkey? Aren’t they our allies?

Short of another Crusade, what are you going for in this article? I think everyone will agree that terrorism in all forms is bad. I think that is the point – to invoke terror. To somehow try to link it all back to one group I think is weak, and does nothing but instills bad blood towards a peaceful group because of a few bad people.

Bad people do bad things. Many use religion to justify it.

    • Here is my point: Islamic terrorism is a daily occurrence throughout the world. Christian terrorism is non-existent. Jewish terrorism is non-existent. The liberal power structure refuses to label this unrelenting violence for what it is: Islamic terrorism. You can’t fight violence if you don’t know what you’re fighting. In March alone, there were 189 Jihad attacks in 21 countries which killed 988 people and critically injured another 2093. That is just ONE month. I don’t understand why so many, including you evidently, want to work so hard to suggest that Christianity does bad stuff, too. Evil deeds done in Christ’s name are a denial of Christ. Evil deeds done in Allah’s name are a validation in the precepts of Islam. There is NO comparison.

      • The question for me is, why would a 19 year old who by all accounts, was seen as a typical teenage boy with a bright future throw it all away because of his brother. For that matter, what drove his brother to seek out radical web sites in the first place?

What kind of life did a person have that he was willing end it by blowing himself with the purpose of killing as many others as possible?

I don’t buy into the claim I think you are making that that is just the way they are because Islam is evil. Millions of Muslims live peaceul productive lives. It is a very small percentage willing to commit these atrocities.

Obviously, you don’t need religion to do horrendous acts. Just look at the random violence her in the U.S. As bad as we see it here though, it is nothing compared to some of these other countries. I can’t even imagine what life would be in those places. Hate would definitely thrive.

Look at Charles Manson. Most of his core followers were very religious. Many thought he was the second coming of Jesus. Manson took that positive and turned it around to a point where he got these once loving people to kill in a most horrendous fashion. People like Manson have existed throughout time and always will. As evil as Hitler turned out to be he apparently gave very inspiring speeches.

All the religions that sprung from Abraham have the “death to non-believers” rule in their holy books. Perhaps you can explain to me the writtings starting with Matthew 5:17? Why would Jesus say this only to have others interpret it as something else?

      • Yeah, Bob, it is a small percent. Let’s say 5% of Muslims are radical. 5% of 1 BILLION people, is 50 million Muslims who will kill you because you are an American non-believer.

  4. No Tom I’m tired of people like yourself who willfully ignore our own nations history of bullying other nations both militarily and economically. But most of all I’m tired of the dishonest arguments being put forth by those like yourself that are intentionally designed to deceive and lead this nation into perdition.

    • David: You made an unsavory accusation against me. I am still awaiting clarification on where I lied. You have responded twice. Both times, you have failed to point out where. You have expressed a difference of opinion. Fine. But to name-call suggests that you have no further rebuttal to support your liberal world view.

  5. Why is it when a Christian like Hitler does horrendous things, then you say he is not really a Christian because a Christian wouldn’t do that.

But you are quick to condemn any Muslim simply because they are Muslims even though millions are peaceful lawful people.

What is your solution? Round them all up and deport them?

To deny that we as Americans have not done some horrendous acts in our past is just total denial.

    • I don’t condemn every Muslim, that is bigotry, but the Islam religion promotes Jihad against everyone who isn’t of their faith.

Christianity did not promote what Hitler taught.

Did you read the Ayatolla Khommeini’s quote Bob? That is not an unusual statement for Islam. Facts are facts Bob. To pretend Islam is a religion of peace is closing your eyes to the facts.

Does this mean I think every, or even most Muslim is violent? No.

      • AK is a radical cleric. No one doubts that. Does he instigate these types of acts. I am sure he does. Does any sane person think this is a good thing? I don’t think so. History is filled with crazy people who do some crazy stuff in the name of religion.

We take for granted how great we have it here in the U.S. Imagine Bob going on a blog in Iraq or Pakistan or probably even Thailand and putting down the president as he has done many times here. You both would be carted away never to be seen again. Try to imagine growing up in that environment.

I hated history in school. It was boring because it had little substance. It really wasn’t about history, it was about indoctrination. You only got the sugar-coated patriotoc version of history. Europeans didn’t discover America – we conquered it. It’s just the way it is, and it is how we got to where we are today. It’s all about truth.

To deny that we are far from perfect does no good to anyone. We need to embrace our past, both good and bad, otherwise how can we ever learn.

      • “To deny that we are far from perfect does no good to anyone. We need to embrace our past, both good and bad, otherwise how can we ever learn.”

Bob, I’m not sure what your point is. This blog doesn’t deny that America has done bad things. On the other hand, no nation in history has done more good. Not even close. There are no shortage of America-hating blogs out there. This blog is not one of them.

      • Bob, you state that “AK” is a “radical” cleric. I take it you mean that he has gone above and beyond, or “hijacked” the doctrines of Islam. Can you give us some examples?

    • Hitler was not a Christian. He replaced the Holy Bible in all the Christian churches with his Mein Kampf. Give me a break. In the 20th century, the most destructive forces were atheists: Mao, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot…they are responsible for likely over 100 million deaths. This century it is the Muslims who are the most destructive.

    • Bob: an important clarification here. Hitler was most definitely NOT a Christian.

Hitler was a failed seminary student, who renounced Christianity completely. It was after he became very much a convinced atheist that he embarked on the path that brought about such violence, misery and death.

Interestingly Hitler shares that characteristic — a failed seminarian — with another mass murderer: Josef Stalin. Stalin ALSO embarked on a path that led to the murder of tens of millions of his own countrymen — in “peacetime.” Also AFTER renouncing Christianity.

      Coincidence? I don’t THINK so!

      Best,

  6. Reblogged this on Autumn Leaves and commented:
Tom the seemingly infinite depths of your dishonesty and willingness to lie never ceases to amaze me. Historically America’s elected political leaders have had a nasty habit of interfering both militarily and economically – openly and covertly in the affairs of other nations. Indeed it was our leaders incompetent meddling in the middle east that brought about the very conditions that led to the rise of Saddam in Iraq and the problems we have with Iran today. As long as American citizens continue to allow their leaders free reign to interfere in the affairs of other nations they can expect to get a bloody nose from time to time.

    • Show me which statement is a lie, Mr.Green. Please be specific.

You may come to different conclusions, but it is so typical of a liberal to shout “liar, liar” when you disagree with someone and can’t really make your case.

      • Karen Tom has completely ignored our nations own history of interference in the middle east especially in Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran that has led to the current problem our nation faces in regards to terrorism. I’m beginning to wonder if conservatives actually have the ability to tell the truth any longer.

      • David, Tom isn’t denying anything about our history. He may or may not call it interference as you do, but he doesn’t deny our history in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran. It is YOUR conclusion that this is what has led to terrorism. You are ignoring the hundreds of acts of Islamic terrorism around the world every year. Is that also the fault of the U.S.?

To call Tom a liar without making your case shows you can’t make the case. It reminds me of a red faced schoolboy on the playground shouting “liar, liar, pants on fire” because he is frustrated and angry.

    • Hi David: Thanks for the kind words and for your intelligent response. You apparently disagree with me, and with Mahatma Ghandi, and Winston Churchill, and Mark Twain, and G.K. Chesteron, and John Quincy Adams, and Patriarch Cyrus of Alexandria, and Gregory Palamus of Thessalonica, and Alexis de Tocqueville, and … well, you get the idea. You clearly disagree with men down through history from different parts of the world, from times before America even existed, who view Islam has a habitual bully, to be kind. Perhaps they are all liars, too. Perhaps the Ayatolla Khomeini is also a liar that Islam is a religion of peace when he said, “Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those [who say this] are witless. Islam says Kill all the unbelievers just as they would kill you all! Does this mean that Muslims should sit back until they are devoured by [the unbelievers] Islam says Kill them [the non-Muslims], put them to the sword and scatter [their armies]. Does this mean sitting back until [non-Muslims] overcome us Islam says Kill in the service of Allah those who may want to kill you!” Perhaps Mohammed was joshing when he said, “Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them.” Koran 2:191 … or … “Make war on the infidels living in your neighborhood.” Koran 9:123 … or … “Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticize Islam” Koran 5:33. Yes, my friend, perhaps the “bloody noses” inflicted by Islam on the innocent down through the ages that led to the deaths of countless men, women, and children of all faiths is simply a lie. Perhaps you ARE right, it is America that has caused ALL of these atrocities. All of these other great men who disagree with you were truly phonies. Thank-you for your insightful revision of history.

    • From the standpoint of the Christians in Iraq, I’m sure they were quite content, relatively speaking, under the reign of Saddam Hussein. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill for the Christians there since his ouster. According to Patriarch Louis Sako, the head of the Chaldean Catholic Church in Iraq, there were over 300 Christian churches in Iraq in 2003; now there are just 57. Nearly a million Christians have been driven out of Iraq; there were only about 1.4 million there during Hussein’s rule. Under Hussein, Islam was kept in check by a secular government. Now Islam is resurging, and not only in Iraq. In Syria, up to 30,000 Christians have fled the city of Aleppo and two priests have been kidnapped there. In Nigeria, the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram has destroyed 50 of the 52 Catholic churches in the state of Borno. These have nothing to do with actions of the United States or any other Western government. They have everything to do with the doctrines of Islam.
