Obama reneges on Planned Parenthood

Perhaps the specter of Margaret Sanger was even too much for our brazen president.

President Obama, who has never met an abortion regulation he liked, pulled out of being the keynote speaker at a huge Planned Parenthood fundraising event.

The Margaret Sanger award, named for the racist founder of Planned Parenthood, is to be presented at this event as reported earlier by Quiner’s Diner [“Time for Care”].

The Planned Parenthood brand is increasingly tainted these days.

It turns out they knew all about Dr. Gosnell’s “House of Horrors” in Philadelphia. Dayle Steinberg is the chief executive for Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania. A report from Philly.com quotes Mr. Steinberg:

“The Gosnell trial has shifted the focus off the high-quality services we provide … These are criminal, horrendous . . . acts and should be appropriately punished.”

Steinberg said that when Gosnell was in practice, women would sometimes come to Planned Parenthood for services after first visiting Gosnell’s West Philadelphia clinic, and would complain to staff about the conditions there.

“We would always encourage them to report it to the Department of Health,” Steinberg said.

Ponder what Mr. Steinberg said.

Planned Parenthood KNEW.

They KNEW bad things were afoot at a competitor’s abortion clinic.

They KNEW that would make them all human abortionists look bad, so THEY didn’t report this health risk to women (and their babies, not that PP cares about the babies) to the proper authorities. They passed the buck.

A woman died.

Babies died.

For the record, it wouldn’t have made a difference. The abortion regulators at the city and state level chose to ignore the complaints in order to protect the human abortionists.

Perhaps Planned Parenthood knew they were in no position to cast the first stone in light of the atrocious conditions in the nearby (and recently closed) Delaware PP clinic.

Even though Barack Obama’s heart is with the human abortionists who lavishly supported his re-election campaign, the heat was simply too much right now, so he decided to pull back.

It’s interesting. The Breitbart poster above is true, isn’t it? The Gosnell trial has been ignored by the MSM media. Why? Because human abortionists are good guys in their eyes. On the other hand, guns are bad in their eyes, so they have (legitimately) fallen all over themselves covering the Newtown shooting.

In the Des Moines Register this morning, the paper ran a front page story about a pro life advocate who said some inflammatory things about late term abortionists. On the other hand, they’ve barely covered the Gosnell trial, and it has never reached the front page.

Try as they might, the MSM’s news blackout of the Gosnell trial hasn’t been totally effective because of the blogosphere. Too many people know what’s going on.

Even an unabashed supporter of human abortion like Barack Obama was forced to think twice about speaking at an event that honored human abortion and the legacy of a racist eugenicist like Margaret Sanger.

EVEN Barack Obama would feel ashamed.

It should be noted that he merely postponed his visit until later in the gala, according to what I could gather.

Yes … he’s not speaking at the big gig, but rather a smaller, lower profile, gathering the next day.

“Human Abortionist”… A very poignant and critical clarification! Thank you, Tom.
