The end of girlhood

By Tom Quiner

A film about lesbian pedophilia won the top award at the Cannes Film Festival.

The buzz says the film, “Blue is the warmest color,” has some of the most graphic lesbian sex scenes ever. They take place between the two main characters, Adèle Exarchopoulos as a 15-year-old girl who falls in love with a woman named Emma, played by Léa Seydoux.

Hollywood won’t characterize the film as one about pedophilia. You know, they’re probably right. Wikipedia defines pedophilia as a psychiatric disorder in persons 16 years of age or older typically characterized by a primary or exclusive sexual interest toward prepubescent children (generally age 11 years or younger).

So, is this subject matter appropriate? Or is it child pornography? The actress who takes her clothes off for the sex scenes is actually 19 years of age in real life. Nonetheless, Cannes Jury President Steven Spielberg says we may not be able to see this French film in the states:

“I’m not sure it will be allowed to play in every state.”

Despite the raw content, the Hollywood icon said that the lesbian story about a girl and a woman was great, characterizing it as:

“a great love story that made all of us feel privileged to be a fly on the wall, to see this story of deep love and deep heartbreak evolve from the beginning. The director didn’t put any constraints on the narrative. He let the scenes play in real life, and we were absolutely spellbound.”

In other words, Mr. Spielberg feels fine about this subject matter, which features a kid in girlhood who is sexually active with an adult (which by definition is statutory rape) of the same gender, .

Meanwhile, the Girl Scouts of America (GSUSA) continues their love affair with the abortion community. They helped found an international group called World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).

They kick in a million dollars a year in support.

This global group promotes “sexual and reproductive rights,” which includes abortion for youth.

They speak for of their ten million members.

They participated in a conference a few weeks ago, “Women Deliver,” with featured speakers who included late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart and philosopher Pete Singer who supports legalized infanticide.

The breakout sessions covered a wide range of abortion subjects, including “Outing and Addressing Abortion Stigma” and “Why I Perform Abortions.”

Girl Scouts are their future customers. They use these groups as cover to condition the girls at an early age.

The government is doing their part to teach our girls about sex. Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services spoke at the WAGGGS conference. Her people have used taxpayer money to create a website called www.GirlsHealth.gov.

It tells our girls about things they need to know, such as anal sex, mutual masturbation, gay sex (which they characterize as perfectly natural), birth control, and much more.

I’m sure there’s something in the Constitution somewhere that says that all of this is a critical role of government, don’t you?

Let us summarize.

Liberals in Hollywood, Girl Scouts, and government are stealing girlhood from our daughters.

They view them as sexual objects. They are actively sexualizing them. They are grooming them as future customers for their entertainment, their pills, their human abortions, and a life of dependence on the state.

The end of girlhood has been ushered in by fringe thinkers on the political Left who are mainstreaming their radical, sexualized notion of what girlhood is all about.

They are becoming the defacto parents of our girls, while their real parents go along for the ride, either out of ignorance, apathy or parental peer pressure.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Let’s take our girls back.

It’s all in the name of “true love”, Tom, don’t you understand that? Oh, I forgot – you’re a conservative – so you don’t really understand love at all. So I guess I don’t either. Maybe we should make a movie about what it’s like to have a “true” job. Do you think any of the liberals will actually go to see it?

In a college op-ed, I once made the claim that America is a “Christian nation”, and was lambasted soundly by the atheists and unbelievers at my college. A few years ago, I realized that they were right and I was wrong. This is not a Christian nation, not anymore, if it ever was. I blame our leaders to some extent. What weak men (and women) we have elected to our highest offices. Of our presidents since Lincoln, I can only shake my head and wonder at the deeply flawed men that have led our country. There are a few bright examples of moral men, such as Paul Ryan, or JC Watts, but those seem to be few and far between. I look at the last 7 or 8 elections and wonder where our leaders went. Where is our George Washington, John Adams, or Thomas Jefferson? Where is our Abraham Lincoln? I am actually ashamed to call our current president our leader. But in reality, I also have to ask myself, what have I done to stem the tide of immorality in our great nation? I try to provide a positive role model as a teacher, and especially as a parent. Probably my greatest gift to the world is my son, who is turning out to be a tremendous human being. But I feel like my meager offerings are similar to the little Dutch boy trying to stick his finger in the dike to hold back the floodwaters of sin and corruption.

Tom, do you think we could be approaching the end times? I’m ready when He is….

People have been talking about the end times for two thousand years, so I don’t know what to say. I could see it in light of multiple disturbing factors in the U.S. and around the world. On the other hand, great things are afoot. We have saints emerging in our midst, as they always do in dark times. The Holy Spirit is at work in the world in ways we cannot see. Don’t despair. We are not alone. God is with us.

Any time I feel despair creeping up on me, I just remember my favorite verse, Phillipians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Brave New World, here we come. In the book, a young boy who cried about the “normal” sexual playacting of children was considered an aberrant. This is one of so many reasons why we homeschool.
