“Bush saved 9 million lives” says this celebrity

By Tom Quiner

U2 lead singer, Bono, lays it on the line: George W. Bush saved 9 million people from AIDS.

News like this needs to be trumpeted in light of the multi billion dollar negative PR campaign leveled against Mr. Bush by the Left and their liberal lapdogs in the MSM.

The Left went after President Bush during his presidency with a vengeance at the same time they give Barack Obama a pass for continuing many of the same policies they so reviled.

Even liberals should appreciate this good news. Bono was ebullient:

“This should be shouted from the rooftops. This is a heroic American story.”

Bono deserves a lot of credit.

So do Christian evangelicals, said Bono:

“It was the evangelicals that did that. Because they, like myself, pestered George Bush and the administration, who actually deserve praise for starting this out.”

It was President Bush who ultimately authorized the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief program that sent $15 Billion to Africa.

The impact? Nine million lives saved, according to Bono.

And there can be no doubt the followers of the Church of Bono will disregard these words from their rock start prelate, citing “conscience.” Because the Lord and everybody else knows the delusional hate for George W. Bush on the part of lefties is as ingrained in their being as is breathing. Archbishop Bono may be cool as heck to them when he’s jetting around the world telling everybody what to do about poverty and when he’s propagandizing “social justice” with videos at his concerts, and the nuttier of the Deification of Bono crowd even want his music integrated in the Mass; but the second he utters something positive and truthful about President Bush there will be crickets. And it’s all good, because all that really matters is he’s just so cool.

I agree. Celebrity worship is out of hand. Give me more Jesus worship.
