Fake Muslims?

“See, the problem with your cartoon is the fact that it contains a whole lot of labeling.”

A Muslim is mad.

She didn’t like the cartoon I posted on this blog.

“Yes, there are bad Muslims.

Yes, there are also bad Christians.

Yes, there are also bad Jews.”

You see the direction this is going in. Moral equivalency. Muslims, Christians, and Jews are all bad.

“People are corrupt, but you are confusing that with religion. Islam is a peaceful religion, but there are people who say they are Muslims and do terrible things, but that doesn’t mean anything.”

It doesn’t? Seriously?

Let’s look at the month of September. There were 234 reported Jihad attacks as reported in the world press from 27 different countries. 2931 are dead in the name of Allah. 4539 are injured.

How many people are dead or maimed in the name of Jesus or Moses in the month of September?

How about the month of August?

How about the entire year? Decade? Century?

“There are Christians and Jews that are murdering people too, and that isn’t justifying anything, but it’s just saying that we are all people.”

Of course there are Christians and Jews who murder. But they don’t do it in the name of Jesus, or Moses, or Abraham.

“Do you even know half the things going on in Muslim countries right now? Do you know how many innocent Muslims are being massacred by Jewish and Christians. No, because its not on the news. But everything against Muslims are!”

I’m not sure what to say.

In this country, the liberal, mainstream media hates Christianity at the same time they make excuses for Islam. The entire political Left, with a few exceptions, looks the other way at atrocities committed in the name of Allah while  at the same time accusing Christians of intolerance and bigotry for disagreeing with social mores that a good Muslim would consider killing offenses.

Ben Affleck is a loyal devotee of the American Left. He went on Bill Maher’s HBO show, “Real Time with Bill Maher,” and engaged in a rather heated exchange with the host.

Bill Maher is a rather nasty strain of liberalism, atheist, of course, with an ax to grind against religion. To his credit, he challenged American liberals for their lack of consistency for attacking Christianity and defending Islam:

“Liberals need to stand up for liberal principles. … Liberal principles like freedom of speech, freedom to practice any religion you want without fear of violence, freedom to leave a religion, equality for women, equality for minorities including homosexuals — these are liberal principles that liberals applaud for [pointing to his audience], but then when you say in the Muslim world this is what’s lacking, then they get upset.”

Liberal atheist, Sam Harris was also on the show, and he agreed with Maher:

“Liberals have really failed on the topic of theocracy. They’ll criticize … Christians; they’ll still get agitated over the abortion clinic bombing that happened in 1984, but when you talk about the treatment of women and homosexuals and free thinkers and public intellectuals in the Muslim world, I would argue that liberals have failed us. And the crucial point of confusion is that we have been sold this meme of ‘Islamophobia,’ where every criticism of the doctrine of Islam gets conflated with bigotry toward Muslims as people. That’s intellectually ridiculous.”

Ben Affleck lashed back:

“You’re saying that Islamophobia is not a real thing? It’s gross! It’s racist! It’s like saying, ‘I’m not your shifty Jew.”

He had no interest in pursuing the accuracy of Mr. Harris assertion, since, by the theology of liberalism, it was politically-incorrect speech. He was in attack mode.

To Mr. Harris’ credit, he pointed out that it’s been not one, not two, but three decades since someone who claimed to be a Christian bombed an abortion clinic.

There is no moral equivalency between Islam and its Judeo-Christian rivals.

And yet Quiner’s Diner Muslim reader is ticked:

“It’s disgusting when you say things like ‘anti-Muslim free speech.’

I’m not sure to what she refers.

“I am an American born teenage Muslim girl, and I have the same rights as you do.”

You are correct.

“You need to learn your facts before you start throwing accusations and ‘proposing solutions.’ You have no right to take anyone else’s rights away.”

I agree. And I’m not.

“Seriously, yeah, there are some crazy people out there who call themselves Muslims and they are murdering, but stop acting like the American government is so innocent and isn’t killing helpless and innocent people.”

Moral equivalency is the pathetic excuse used by liberals and Muslims to obscure the 24,024 international Islamic terrorist attacks since 9/11.

They have been made in the name of Allah.

Are all of those Islamic terrorists really fake Muslims?

If the actions of the Islamic terrorists are supported by Islamic Doctrine, they are not fake Muslims. They are simply devout Muslims following the teachings of Islam.

As you have pointed out in your most recent book, “Islam According to Muhammad, Not Your Neighbor,” that seems to be the case.
