    Reposted to facebook…

First the GOP have to give us a candidate WORTH voting for on the merits. If we get Bush, we’re in trouble.

I’m not as down on Jeb Bush as many conservatives, but he’s not my first or second choice (or third).

Ben Carson would be my first choice, but he is not electable. Ted Cruz, or Marco Rubio. Hmm. I don’t know. We need someone who would place America, ahead of the party. I don’t believe Hillary will be elected.

Risking racist and sexist on speaking the obvious!

We still have a while before the really race heats up. Who knows, we may get someone out of the wood works that we weren’t expecting.
I like Rand Paul, but too many people on both sides of the fence see him as too much of a “radical” on many issues. Rubio is a breath of fresh air and could appeal to the younger crowd. However, it is his lack of experience that will be worrisome. See what has been the result of electing someone lacking experience has gotten us so far? We need another Bush in the WH about as much as we need another Clinton (in other words, we don’t). I truly do wish Ben Carson had more political experience so that he would be more of a contender.
Let’s just hope we get some more announcements soon and the Democrats continue to pin their hopes entirely on Hillary.

I’d qualify your comment on Rubio. He has a lot more experience than Obama had, and he exhibited leadership, unlike Obama whose only claim to fame as a legislator was voting “present” hundreds of times.

……. think I’ll start a “Quiner for President” campaign 🙂
experience, integrity, morality — wait, that could get him executed on the public square!

Tony, I’ve got my slogan. Ready for this? “Things will be finer with Quiner!” You’re probably right that my brand of politics and religion would lead to martyrdom in some form. Perhaps I’m best to keep blogging!

My Sweetie came up with this: “Nothing could be finer than to see our Thomas Quiner in the White House…”

Thank-you for the vote of confidence! I think my sweetie would veto the notion.
