Rubio’s brilliant response to an atheist

By Tom Quiner

The Theology of Atheism is gaining recruits.

In fact, the American brand of atheism is far more evangelical than most strains of mainline Protestantism.

Marco Rubio faced the inevitable question from an atheist who fears Mr. Rubio’s unabashed embrace of Christ. Rubio’s response was perfect, as you can see in the video above.

Wow, that was spot on! More and more, I’m liking Marco Rubio as president.

He certainly handled it well. It still amazes me that many (not all) atheists love to play the victim game and say that we mean old Christians are trying to force our beliefs and practices on them, when in fact it is normally the other way around. Just look at all of the lawsuits filed by the Freedom From Religion group and others like them against people, schools, etc., to force them to go against their own beliefs by saying prayer in schools, saying the Pledge of Allegiance, In God we trust, God bless you, as so on is a violation of non-believer’s constitutional rights. What about our rights?
I truly believe the young man in this video was going for the victim card, or even trying to snag Sen. Rubio with a “gotcha” question, and it backfired right in his face. Well done, Sen. Rubio! Thank you for standing up for our rights.

Yes, Steve, I had the exact same reaction that you did. Thanks for writing.
