This morning I woke up thinking about how glorious the rapture will be. I imagine the entire world will just stand and sing a hymn in unison. There’s nothing like a good ol’ hymn to get your mind turning. One of my favorites (one) is O Sacred Head. You gotta read along with that one.

Do you mean “O Sacred Head Now Wounded?” I played it on piano at a Good Friday service a couple of years ago. Afterwards, my son-in-law asked why I was playing “American Tune” by Paul Simon, which opened the door to some music history! It was Hans Leo Hassler who wrote the original melody back in 1600, long before Mr. Simon came on the scene.

Very interesting. The words never fail to amaze me.

        “What language shall I borrow,
        To thank thee dearest friend…”

I wish everyone felt that way about their relationship with Christ, but it won’t stop me.

A healthy Christian finds that their faith grows over time, especially when life kicks you in the gut. They learn that love is more than a feeling. A love affair suggests that we are giving ourselves to Christ instead of just taking from Him, don’t you think?

What a great post. Nothing like a love affair with the Savior, and Author of life. Blessings.

      Thank-you, Mr. Chesterton!

Hi Tom. Did not understand the name, Chesterton. Blessings.

G.K. Chesterton is a great English writer who wrote about his conversion from atheism to Catholicism. He influenced C.S. Lewis.
