These ‘non-issues’ can destroy us

What defines the United States of America?

The first thing that comes to mind is freedom. Americans believe that every human being is born with a right to be free. Freedom is very much defined by an ability to speak freely, worship freely, and become all you can be without interference from government.

Another thing that has defined us is a belief in the productive potential of each individual.

This nation is a melting pot. We’ve beaten back man’s inclination towards tribalism by accepting people from throughout the world, regardless of how poor or uneducated, because our free society allows them to assimilate and prosper.

In other words, people are good for our country, not bad. We created an American identity out a smorgasbord of nationalities, from the English to the German; from Africans to Asians. It hasn’t always been a pretty process. Let’s face it, the progression of civilization is a series of ups and downs. In the case of America, our progress, until recent years, has been consistently on the upswing.

Now, these defining tenets of all things American are under siege, and no one is talking about it. If we don’t talk about it during a presidential campaign, then when?

The First Amendment establishes each American’s right to free speech and freedom to worship. These rights are stated first, because they are the most important.

Without them, we are merely a more prosperous version of Cuba.

Free speech is under siege. College campuses suppress conservative thought through political correctness protocols. Just recently, Princeton University announced they are no longer allowing the word “man” to be used because it is not PC-friendly.

Conservative speakers aren’t allowed to speak on college campuses. When one slips through the cracks, they are disinvited.

Conservative newspapers are hunted down and thrown into the trash before their views can be shared with inquiring minds. And campus thought police establish lists of trigger words that may not be uttered without being sanctioned.

A President Hillary will accelerate the trend. She promised to only appoint potential Supreme Court justices who will overturn the Citizens United (CU) decision. CU prevents the government from criminalizing free speech. You may remember how the government blocked the distribution of an anti Hillary Clinton movie back in 2007 called, “Hillary: the movie.” Thanks to CU, political documentaries by the likes of Michael Moore on the left and Dinesh D’Souza on the right are protected free speech.

Hillary Clinton vows to end it if elected.

Even more, a Hillary presidency will continue the anti church bent of the Obama years. They want to impose their own religion, Secular Humanism, on all of us, no matter how much their sacraments of child sacrifice (human abortion) and sexual hedonism (gay marriage) violate our religious consciences.

The trend line is to allow the faithful to maintain freedom to worship, as long as we don’t bring it into the public square.

These are big issues. They are lost in the fog of the inane campaign rhetoric that clogs the air waves. And yet if Hillary gets her way, America as we know it is done.

We have a final issue that is destroying us: demographics. America is dying a slow death. Our replacement birth rate is below replacement level. Liberal theology has triumphed in the minds of far too many Americans. This theology suggests that inconvenient infants in the womb can reasonably be killed if they are unwanted.

The human abortion culture has led to the demise of some 57 million aborted human beings since 1973’s Roe v Wade decision. This national carnage came at the same time liberals expanded our entitlement state.

In this year’s campaign, Hillary calls for lowering the age people can opt into Medicare to 55 years in her quest to create a “single payer” healthcare system to replace the failing Obamacare super structure.

Keep in mind, Medicare ran a $39 Billion deficit in 2014, the fifth consecutive year it bled red ink.

So, at this critical point in our history when we need more future taxpayers to fund our ever-expanding entitlement state, we’re going to have less.

Shouldn’t we talk about this?

Shouldn’t we talk about free speech issues?

Shouldn’t we talk about religious freedom issues?

Hillary Clinton is beholden to a leftist movement that threatens this nation’s future. Who knows to what Donald Trump is beholden?

If left unchecked, these ‘non-issues’ in this campaign can be the death of the American experiment.

Every time some one wants to talk about these issues, he/she is shut down by the PC crowd. The mainstream media won’t even mention anything they deem as politically incorrect. Sad.

Then “Princeton” University had better change its elitist name!
