What is news? 4

By Tom Quiner

“What are you talking about?”

A friend said words to that effect to me last year. The friend is a Catholic who votes Democrat. I told her about the undercover videos that exposed Planned Parenthood’s ghoulish practice of selling body parts of aborted babies.

She didn’t know anything about it. The mainstream media (MSM), her source for news, downplayed their coverage of this story. As far as my friend is concerned, PP is about nurturing women’s ‘reproductive health.’

A similar dynamic exists with Hillary’s email scandal.

Ms. Clinton was caught in another lie yesterday. Granted, disingenuousness, deceit, and disinformation are not particularly newsworthy when when it comes to our potential future president.

Here’s what happened: thirty more Hillary emails were released, and they were of a sensitive nature: Benghazi. The release of this batch builds on the narrative that Clinton was not honest when she said she only destroyed emails of a personal nature. This batch of emails were anything but.

None of the MSM covered the story, preferring to report on stories that make Trump look bad (granted, not hard to do).

What is news? Evidently, it’s anything that tarnishes the Republican brand.

  1. The same news which made a big deal out of Kaepernick’s sitting down— but failed to mention his statement that Hillary is not what we should be standing for either. (article on Biz Pac Review yesterday)
