Mike Pence was raised Roman Catholic.

He left the Church as a young man because he respected her to much to stay. Why? There were doctrinal issues with which he disagreed. He didn’t feel right calling himself Catholic if he disagreed with the Church on some critical church issues.

Interestingly, he stands lock step with the Church on Life, Marriage, and Gender issues, and stands up in the public square to support and advance these very Catholic core values.

Tim Kaine is a proud, practicing Catholic by his own words. And yet, by his own words and actions, he stands up in the public square and actively opposes these core Church teachings on Life, Marriage, and Gender.

In other words, Tim Kaine disrespects his own Church in highly visible and damaging ways for the sake of political expediency. His sell-out of the Catholic Church has taken him far. He is poised to become Vice President of the United States if polling results maintain their current trajectory.

On the other hand, Mike Pence has guts.

He stands tall for the little guy, the preborn, regardless of the political cost. I regret that he left the Roman Catholic Church, but I sure respect him as a man and as a fellow Christian.

I believe God will honor Mr. Pence for his principled stance. And as only God knows, polls don’t always tell the story.

  1. Yes, righteousness is going to be rewarded. Polls, I think may be skewed. I know many not answering them for fear of retribution should Clinton win. I can understand that given the way the IRS was dealt w/….or not as it were. Who knows what happens when the person you didnt support wins and they have record of that? I dont come right out and say who I support but it may be easy to tell. I live sort of off the grid. Punishment is not real problem for us.
