More disinformation from liberals on Facebook

Pro lifers don’t care about the baby after she’s born.

This typical nonsense was posted on Facebook once again (see above). And of course the poster is a liberal Catholic. Here is my response:

Do you really believe this stuff? At Holy Trinity [my parish], our Respect Life Group has supported House of Mercy and has conducted diaper drives.

Here’s what the largest pro life group in the country does for baby after she’s born: They work toward reducing infant mortality.

They increase the number of kids with health coverage.

They increase access to healthy food for the hungry.

They reduce the number of families and individuals forced to live in emergency shelters.

They are increasing the quantity of affordable housing units.

They work to increase fathers’ involvement in families.

Their programs increase access to quality affordable early childhood education.

They increase the rate of high school completion.

They work to increase the number of youth participating in postsecondary education or workforce training.

They’re the biggest adoption provider in the country.

I’m talking about the Catholic Church’s pro life outreach via Catholic Charities. This is where we Catholics put our money to make an immediate and direct impact on not just the pre-born, but of everyone. This gets to the heart of being Catholic.

We are called to embrace the social justice teachings of the Church which begins with the sanctity of life. Catholics believe life begins at conception. Despite liberals’ insistence that we butt out of politics, we just can’t when we see a million plus human beings killed, while they grow in the womb, each year.

Here’s what’s interesting about Catholic Charities: They serve the needy without regard to religious, social, or economic backgrounds. For the record, Lutherans, Methodists, and Evangelical Christians, to name a few, also do incredible pro life outreach after a child is born.

Watch the video below for more about the Catholic Church’s social justice outreach.

They have to have an excuse, in order to continue their murderous behavior. “Why bring a child into this world, when he/she will be abandoned.” Your will hopefully shut some of them up. Good read. Blessings.

My church participates in a service for pregnant women that provides many of the needs of the baby and mom and counselling for mom and dad as well. The only thing we cant give the mom is the freedom to do as she pleases w/o considering a child. THAT is the real cause of these killings.

      Sadly, so true.

Hey Tom, Catholics and other conservatives should announce that we will “butt out of politics”, when the pro-abortionists do so. After all, liberalism is the religion they have chosen to practice. I have to say, the poster of this hateful piece may be quite surprised to find they have incurred the wrath of God some day. I may sound harsh, but I feel one should be devout at one’s faith. Sanctity of life is sort of a big tenet of Catholicism. I just dont see how one is pro-abortion AND Catholic. It’s a little like celebrating Christmas as a Muslim.

I know this woman and her family. They have experienced devastating tragedy in their lives, and yet she has maintained an upbeat disposition on life. I like her, even as I disagree with her on politics, even as I engage her on issues on which we disagree. At one point in our discussions, I thought she might be softening on Life issues, but sadly, they have hardened again during the Obama years. It truly pains me to see people who privately proclaim their Catholicism to publicly proclaim a pro abortion position. It is a damning denial of a foundational tenet of our Faith.

I don’t go around saying I know who has salvation and who doesn’t. However, when I mentioned a certain wrath, I was not speaking of Earthly pain. I do think such pain is a tool used to bring us closer to God. We do have to one day answer to God how we spent his blessings on us. Did we help the cause of life or preach death? Every other political debate is is just that…political debate. THIS is not though. One is preaching and promoting life w/ one’s $, time, talent, and words, or death. I am under the impression that no good is good enough to cover for the promoting of the use of murder. I wont even buy certain cookies and sneakers I really love now that i know they give $$ to Planned Parenthood. (That side has a way of making everything sound nice. Dont they?)

I hear you. I stopped buying Girl Scout cookies. It pains me in many ways (remember my sweet tooth?). I hate turning neighbor girls down because I buy from every kid that comes, but not Girl Scouts any more because of their Planned Parenthood connection.

Tom, I have some good news! Wal Mart sells several of our girl scout varieties we love. The generic brand from W M has a penut butter tagalong, coca nut samoa, and the thin mint. Hand to God, they’re EVERY bit as good and less than half the price. Kiebler also has some of these but for a bit more. They’re not any better than the Great Value WM brand. So go get your fix on! I wont tell your wife. I promise.

I’ll sneak over when I mop up the home-made ones tomorrow!

I got this codswallop thrown at me all the time when I was a spokesman for a local right to life organization — it was always some imbecilic variation on “you only care about babies before they’re born, you don’t care what happens to them after they’re born.” I got tired of pointing out the fact that it’s already illegal to dismember, maim, abuse, and kill babies after they’re born; we just want the same courtesy extended to the ones that haven’t been born yet. (There was no point in mentioning the fact that pro-life Christians are the most generous people in the world when it comes to caring for the poor and hungry, because no one will ever believe it, regardless of how much evidence you present.)

They “feel” it is true, so it must be true.
