Finding common ground on Planned Parenthood

By Tom Quiner

America’s political Left and Right can at last find common ground on at least one subject: Planned Parenthood.

Thanks to some gritty investigative undercover reporting by a variety of groups, we have learned much about the organization spawned by Margaret Sanger. Here’s what we now know, the common ground, so to speak, upon which the two sides can agree:

√ According to the GAO, PP receives about half a billion dollars of taxpayer’s federal tax dollars a year to advance the cause of ‘women’s reproductive health.’ Watch the video above for an overview.

√ Although PP once claimed this money was used for providing women with mammograms, this was revealed as a lie, to which Planned Parenthood’s CEO, Cecile Richards, later fessed up when forced to testify to Congress under oath. Watch the video below to establish this common ground:

√ Except for a handful of clinics, PP doesn’t provide pre-natal care or fertility treatments. Live Action Films surveyed PP clinics across the country to uncover this fact. The Left and the Right in this country can come together knowing that if you’re concerned about women’s reproductive health, PP isn’t the place to go, as the former Planned Parenthood managers below admit:

√ Not only does PP not provide services for women’s reproductive health care services, they don’t go near adoptions. Why? Theres’ no money in it, as Sue Thayer expresses in the video above. Again, the Left and the Right can agree on this in light of investigative reporting and the testimony of former managers of Planned Parenthood clinics.

√ Planned Parenthood is about human abortion services and contraception, not women’s reproductive health, so they don’t need taxpayer’s money. Again, there’s common ground here. Former PP employees admit that those two services are their cash cow. Even more, PP is sitting on a $100 million endowment and is able to pay CEO Cecile Richards a salary of nearly $600,000 per year. Both sides can agree they don’t need tax dollars for services they can’t provide.

√ Planned Parenthood sold body parts of abortion babies for profits in violation of federal law; and they were willing to let this new profit center supersede the interest of their clients. It’s all captured in hours and hours of undercover videos captured by investigative journalists. The Left and Right may disagree on whether selling baby parts is good or bad. They may disagree on whether or not the law should be changed. But they can at least find common ground: that is exactly what Planned Parenthood did, and it’s all spelled out in the video below.

√ Cecile Richards will say anything to advance the cause of human abortion, and the media will give her a free pass when she lies. (Watch the videos again in case you missed it.) Both sides of the aisle can certainly agree on this point.

√ So if Planned Parenthood has nothing to do with women’s reproductive health, what are they really all about? I do believe the political Left and Right can come together on this point if we review the philosophy of their founder, Margaret Sanger. Said Ms. Sanger:

“[We should] apply a stern and rigid policy of sterilization and segregation to that grade of population whose progeny is tainted, or whose inheritance is such that objectionable traits may be transmitted to offspring.”

Let’s look at the data. Fifty-three percent of Black babies are aborted. Ninety to ninety-five percent of Downs Syndrome babies are aborted.

Ms. Sanger’s words speak for themselves. On that we can also agree.
