I dont believe they have the will OR the desire. ALL the Washington elite are completely dependent on the Alinsky ideal society. now that we fell hard for the basics and its on its way, there is NO way ANY of those elites is going to do anything that endangers it all. What i see in The GOP in Washington now tells me they were quite glad to let the left dot he work of getting it going and then protect it themselves. Remember, losing office to these guys is NOT the end of them. If us little people lose a job we wonder what happens to us until we get another…IF we do. These guys know they will have lucrative jobs on the boards of companies that benefit form them disregarding the wishes of the likes of us. ONLY these leeches are actually as well off for being “fired” as not. THIS is the definition of the swamp DT spoke of. These people are solidly in bed w/ those in opposition to those electing them.

I hope you’re wrong. I really do. I pray you’re wrong. But I’m sure that you are.

Tom, I cant figure out if you are trying to convince me or yourself that I may be wrong. I would LOVE to be wrong, but what I see lately makes me sure that certain people actually can and DO get away w/ murder (literally and figuratively) and the “right” cares not to fix what ails us little people. I would love to see the repeals that they sent to Obama (knowing it would NEVER be signed). I think they may have been useless drivel…maybe not poems about cupcakes but close. when was the last time you heard of a Washington politician losing his election (job) and going bankrupt or losing his house or waiting tables/ delivering pizzas to get by on Ramen noodles. That describes a lot of people who were middle class until the loss of the job in 2008. These elites only worry about the ability to influence and peddle influence. The loss of the position is not a financial hardship for them.

There is no question that the #1 goal of most politicians is getting re-elected. I hope, though, that there is enough conviction amongst conservatives to pass meaningful legislation that turns us back on a path of moral and fiscal sanity.

Tom, I used to think reelection was care one. Now, I suspect it may to be just not go to jail or come up “suicided” w/ 2 bullets to the back of the noggin. I wonder if the reason the congress doesnt use its investigative power to look into Clinton’s E-mail, Lynch, Comey, Wasserman-S. is b/c if we get deep into these things we’ll find a BUNCH of the swampers in it all…Dems AND GOP. I try to assume these people are at least as smart as we are and must have something besides ability stopping them getting things done. If it was just ability, I’d have to assume these people have severe cognitive delay disorders. Failing that, I just cant get past the idea they’re in bed together and just trying to keep themselves and their fellow swampers out of the joint. The mafia ways are looking familiar.

I try not to get cynical, but it IS disturbing that many (not all) of our elected officials in DC leave office filthy rich.
