The unemployment continues to fall. Tariffs will reverse the trend.

President Trump has done some amazingly good things and some amazingly horrible things.

Signing tax reform was amazingly good. The undoing of job-killing Obama era regulations is amazingly good. Working class families are getting raises again. Jobs are being created.

The February jobs report just came out, and it totally exceeded expectations with the news that 313,000 new non-farm jobs were created. Economists expected only 200,000.

As you can see in the chart above, the unemployment rate has dropped to about as low as it can get at four percent. This is good stuff.

All of it can be undone in a single stroke with a trade war. Trump-imposed tariffs on steel and aluminum could be the first salvo in a job-killing trade tit-for-tat.

Dumb.
