It’s halftime in America

There is only one Super Bowl ad worth discussing: Chrysler’s “halftime in America” ad narrated by Clint Eastwood.

Very thought-provoking.

It IS halftime in America.

The issue is simple. Will we retake America’s values as expressed by our Founding Fathers? You know what I’m talking about, the fundamental rights that flow from God.

Do you know what they are? Of course you do: Life. Liberty. The Pursuit of Happiness.

Or will we abandon these values to those zealously being  proselytized and imposed by the president, much of his party, and the entire political Left?

What are these values? Choice. Fairness. And a Pursuit of Happiness characterized by self-indulgence, self-centeredness, and moral rot.

And God has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with it.

Yes, it is halftime in America.

There is no middle ground in this game. It is a fight to the finish.

This election may tell the tale. For if the president and his party regain all the levers of power, America will be forever changed. They will appoint the judges that ensure that abortion is permanently enshrined as a taxpayer-funded fundamental right.

They will permanently redefine marriage as an institution based on feelings rather than function.

Churches will be forced to bend their beliefs to appease the iron fist of the State.

The pursuit of happiness? That was all about the right to own private property, according to the Founders. That is already changing. Our productivity is increasingly owned be the state who tells us how much we may keep for ourselves.

Pursuit of happiness, according to the Left, is really about personal feelings, even if they come at the expense of your spouse, your child, or your neighbor.

It’s halftime in America.

It used to be that America could compromise.

We can’t any longer. We’ve been doing it too long. We’ve done it to such an extent that America is unrecognizable.

Good God, we’ve aborted 54 million babies.

The Nazis exterminated 6 million Jews.

Do the math. We’ve gone beyond having a communication problem. We’re in crisis mode.

Will the America of our Founders prevail? Or will Mr. Obama’s vision of America prevaill?

It’s halftime in America.
