Sarah Palin talks about the birth of “citizen journalism”

The Mainstream media (MSM) “spiked” the Monica Lewinsky scandal eleven times to protect Bill Clinton.

And the Drudge Report was born.

Just recently, the MSM spiked the Catholic lawsuits against the Obama Administration for violating our religious liberty to protect President Obama.

The Drudge Report and alternative media is thriving because of the transparent leftward tilt of the MSM. Sarah Palin talks about the birth of “citizen journalism” in the video clip above.

Without the blogosphere and the alternative media, conservatism would be in dire straits. Thanks to this new media, though, conservative ideas are flourishing.

There was a comment that after literally MONTHS, NBC finally mentioned the fast and furious controversy in their news coverage. Sheesh!!

I’d like to say better late than never, but I won’t. This was, and is, a huge story. Their refusal to cover the story on a timely basis is shameful. Thanks for writing.

The sound of crickets is what we have in place of a chorus of “Obama/Holder Lied-People Died.” The premise for this was bunk when used in the case of Bush and Iraq given that evidence of weapons has since been found but also ignored. And really, the Fast and Furious loss of life occurred as a direct result of the administration’s actions, not arbitrarily. And this loss of life was caused by intentional political machinations. Where are the Watergate comparisons as well? Oh yes, lost among the deafening sound of crickets.

A friend of mine has been writing for the MSM for nearly 40 years. His retort to me when I’d confront him on this issue was, “well, where did you hear about this news?” In other words, he was defending the MSM as getting the news out because I had heard the story from some news source, even if it was covered inadequately. With the advent of the new media, the MSM no longer feels the need to even make an effort to report certain stories that they don’t like. Interestingly, who do you think has the highest ratings? a. Fox b. CNN C. CBS … You know the answer, of course.

And yet they sit and wonder why their revenue and readership continue to plummet, while simultaneously taking further suicidal steps such as presuming to charge for their on-line content and pandering to the lowest common denominator in coverage. It’s a bizarre trainwreck. One that begs the desire for the rest of the population to finally open their eyes and likewise take a pass.
