A Muslim president

Liberals are screaming.

Dr. Ben Carson has been politically incorrect with recent remarks like these:

“I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation. I absolutely would not agree with that.”

“We don’t put people at the head of our country whose faith might interfere with them carrying out the duties of the Constitution. If you’re a Christian and you’re running for president and you want to make this [country] into a theocracy, I’m not going to support you. I’m not going to advocate you being the president.”

“Now, if someone has a Muslim background, and they’re willing to reject those tenets and to accept the way of life that we have, and clearly will swear to place our Constitution above their religion, then of course they will be considered infidels and heretics, but at least I would then be quite willing to support them.”

Dr. Carson did not suggest that the Constitution would deny a Muslim an opportunity to run for any public office. But his words have been twisted by the Left into a racist rant, which they were not.

Who in their right mind would want a Muslim in the White House? In light of consistent statements and actions made by domestic and international Muslims, only a liberal could be excited about such a prospect.

News flash: we already have a muslim in the White House, and based on performance, is more allegiant to the Koran than our Constitution!

President Obama says he is a Christian. I take him at his word, even though his presidency suggests otherwise.

      Exactly!!

Yes, I agree with you, lburleso, in theory anyway. Whenever he opens his mouth you can know that what he says is based on expedience, not on what is good. Just because a person says “Lord, Lord” does not mean he will do the will of the Father and earn heaven. cf Matthew 7:21. He is abusive towards Catholics and fawning towards Muslims. His family and his male role models are Muslims or sympathizers. Matthew 7:16-20 is the perfect test of a person’s character.

What policies are important to Obama? Unfettered abortion, homosexual perversion, adoration of God’s earth (climate change or whatever the buzzwords are for it these days), psychotic-peaceful relations with Arab nations and a one world government with Muslims in charge (he already has a handful of Muslims as his top advisers. (Someone please stop me as I could fill a book with grievances…..)

        Good critique, Barbie.

If policies that are important to Obama include “unfettered abortion, homosexual perversion, or adoration of the earth”, then he is neither Christian NOR Muslim. Christians believe in traditional marriage; Muslims believe homosexuals should be slain. Big difference. And neither reflects Obama’s views.

          A fair perspective, Shawn.

Good job, Tom! I’m working on my own vindication of what Carson really said and two causes behind criticism.

When will you have it done?

Dr Carson seems to be misquoted, espr since the news doesn’t mention his exact full words but only a ‘summary’ of what they feel he said. Cheap heat for their own profit is what certain foxed out news agencies like in order to provoke outrage for the sake of provoking the undiscerning.

If it’s the Bible verse, it is found in Mathew 7:16-20

To make it easy for the rest of QD’s readers, here’s the quote to which you refer: Matthew 7:16-20English Standard Version (ESV)

16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
