Life Chain Sunday
By Tom Quiner
Would you like to get to know the best people in the world? Get involved in the pro-life movement.
My wife and I participated in the Line Chain today. We’ve been doing it for some 20 years or so. We stand up for Life next to hundreds of other people who feel the same. We meet diverse people from all over town: Protestants and Catholics; men and women; Baby Boomers and high school students. There is something energizing about the entire experience.
People honk in support.
They thrust their hands out of their car windows with a thumbs up.
These people embrace Life; they love God; and they feel called to stand up for the most vulnerable amongst us, the pre born.
It was cloudy and chilly today. What a glorious day to stand up for Life.
Tom you always say it so well–we were out there too (Dubuque)
Thank-you!
Ditto. We were out there too.
Where do the Pius X folks stand?
Normally, Saint Pius stands at the corner of Douglas and Merle Hay Road. Last year, we were evicted from that spot by the mall security. This year, Saint Pius stood in front of Saint Pius church on Douglas. I decided to stay with the other churches on Merle Hay Road, and I joined Saint Mary’s crew, led by Jean and Dick Heger who broke me in. Maybe God had me substitute for Diane.
No one can replace Diane!
We were not there for the first time in quite awhile. I have been battling strep so decided not a good idea in the cold. So, we met with our marriage couple instead! Very neat couple!
