Why I am voting for Carly Fiorna
By Karen Siena Quiner
Carly Fiorna is my candidate. I was already leaning towards her but we have so many talented, qualified, and smart candidates in the Republican field this year that I wasn’t ready to commit until I heard her in person this past week at a Republican Woman’s event.
I came away more fired up than I have ever been in my entire adult life for a presidential candidate.
It has nothing to do with the fact that she is a woman. It has nothing to do with the fact that she is an “outsider.”
I believe that Carly has what it takes to run this country and start repairing the incredible damage of the last 7 years.
She is smart. They all are. But Carly has an incredible grasp of such a wide range of issues, from domestic to international. Her answers are always thoughtful, detailed, and don’t ever seem canned or rehearsed.
She is strong, I would say powerful even. She doesn’t strike me as a person who will be bowled over by anyone. And she comes across as fearless. She has been through fire, personally and professionally, and isn’t going to care about what makes her popular. In fact, I think that if our next president does what needs to be done to get this country back on track, they will not be popular. Carly will not care. She will fix her gaze on what needs to be done and go after it with a steely resolve.
I love that she plays neither the gender card, the religion card, or the outsider card. She is running on her ideas and doesn’t need any of those gimmicks or to prove anything to anyone.
She has what it takes to inspire, to lead, and to make us proud of our country again. She believes in American exceptionalism and our important role on the world stage.
And, as if I needed another reason to vote for her, it would be delicious to see her debate Hillary. Can you even imagine?
Carly Fiorna is exactly what this country needs right now. I think it is her destiny to be the president of the United States of America.
I’m looking forward to the next Republican debate and hearing more from Carly Fiorna and the rest of the candidates. I would have loved to hear her in person, you are very fortunate!
Try to find a way to hear her Tina. You will be impressed. Karen
I like Carly, but I am backing Ben Carson. I believe he has the best chance of beating the democratic nominee. How about a ticket of Carson and Fiorna?
I’m amazed by the depth of the Republicans and the lack of depth on the Democratic side. Republicans easily have half a dozen candidates I could get excited about.
One of the reasons I am going to vote for Carly is that I think she has a better chance of beating the nominee. She is strong, resolute and clear in her answers. I think if Ben Carson gets elected he will get up to speed quickly and he will be smart enough to surround himself with good people, but I think Carly will be ready to start running as soon as the gate opens. I urge you to try to go hear her if you can. Karen
Some combination of Cruz, Carson, and Fiorina would make me a very happy conservative.
Not a fan of Cruz myself. I am afraid he would get into office and start ruling by fiat like Obama does because he is unable to get people to follow him. And I am not sure he could beat Hillary. He turns too many people off.

Ted Cruz is my guy, but he’s admittedly a mixed bag. On one end, he’s one of the more consistent people on the right. Yet that consistency is what turns people off. He is probably the anti-Bernie Sanders. It’s a shame because he is an intelligent man, he just needs to sell his position to the left rather than going into comfortable venues.

I am impressed by her tenacity, intelligence, and ability to think on her feet. Fiorina, and Carson.
As the somewhat abrasive Bill O’Reilly has reminded us, if 2016 were just about the facts, the Republican wins. Fiorina has the determination and the talent to present those facts the best. I’m also glad she’s not worried about appearing “warm” before her time. I wrote in my blog that she knows she has to be accepted as a serious contender first, otherwise the stereotypical response is that she lacks strength and conviction. Fiorina for President, Dr. Carson for a talented V-P!
I haven’t heard Carly in person yet. Karen is totally sold on her. I could be, but I still lean toward Rubio, because I think he is the most electable. A Rubio/Fiorina ticket … or Rubio/Kasich … or Rubio/Carson wins.
