Catholic pilgrims make Mass out of massive storm

The Iowans for Life bus celebrates Mass in the snow

What do you do if your bus is stuck on a highway for fifteen straight hours without moving due to a blizzard?

If you’re a busload of Catholics with a priest on board, you simply walk out into the snow, build an altar, and say Mass.

These are the hardy pro lifers to whom I referred in my earlier blogpost, The Power of Life. Other busses joined them in doing much more than making lemon out of lemonade, they made Mass out of the massive chaos wrought by an East Coast blizzard.

That’s what the Mass does: find meaning in the chaos of life through the Body and Blood of Christ.

May God bless these hardy pro life pilgrims and keep them safe and warm in His loving arms.

Thanks for sharing this Tom plus the other posts from the March.  I kept waiting, giving the MSM a chance, to mention the upcoming March and then the marchers in their coverage of the storm.  But, alas, they didn’t.  I was hoping for at least a mention.  When channel 8 was talking about Carly’s deal with the preschoolers at the Botanical Center, they said “she will talk about it at an event at Washington DC tomorrow.”  Heaven forbid they mention what that event is!  It was blatant.

It’s almost funny how they work overtime to dance around this event.
