It can be cured, but not with a Democrat, and frankly, not with most Republicans. This is where a Rand Paul really shines. I think Cruz and Rubio could be effective as well. But let’s face it, Congress allocates the money.

We need a Gingrich leading Congress. I have a sinking feeling that Paul Ryan is more Boehner than Gingrich.
I loved Gingrich. I think Boehner gets a little more of a bad rap than he deserves. And I think Ryan will be excellent, especially if Republicans win the White House and maintain control of Congress.
Most Americans remain blissfully unaware of how deeply in debt the country is. Often this is because they can’t distinguish between “debt” and “deficit,” so if the deficit goes down in a particular year, they mistakenly think that the debt has decreased. But mostly it’s because the lamestream media never talk about the national debt when there’s a Democrat in the White House. Just wait until there’s a Republican in the White House to blame it on, and watch how quickly our burgeoning national debt suddenly becomes newsworthy again. (Kind of like homelessness, which pretty much vanishes from the news whenever the president is a Democrat, but becomes a major national crisis whenever the president is a Republican.)
You are totally correct. Interestingly, a football writer for Sports Illustrated talked about the shocking levels of homelessness he saw in San Francisco (a sanctuary city, by the way) walking from his hotel to the Super Bowl. If this were next year’s Super Bowl, you can bet that would have gotten more coverage if a Republican were in the White House. Thanks for writing.
I have liberal friends, who insist that Obama has fixed the debt. I tried telling them that it has doubled. They don’t believe it. Go figure.
I believe it, but then I watch nasty ol’ Fox News.

Biden can’t cure that one
