Just call me an American.
I have always felt that the title AFRICAN AMERICAN is in itself a racist term. If we are citizens, we are AMERICANS……no additional definers needed!
I agree. However, the moniker is understandable in light of the legacy of slavery.
Maybe in the 1800’s and 1900’s. I think we should let that label die, along with affirmative action.
