The contraception myth

By Tom Quiner

How do you end or reduce human abortion?

Planned Parenthood and the Democratic Party insist that the answer is the availability of contraception to all women of child-bearing age who do not desire a child. Frankly, most conservatives probably agree.

The only area of disagreement would be: who pays? Individuals or the taxpayers?

The answer is suspect. The pro abortion Alan Guttmacher Institute reports that:

“Eighty-three percent of black women who are at risk of unintended pregnancy currently use a contraceptive method, compared with 91% of their Hispanic and white peers, and 90% of their Asian peers.” [Source: NATIONAL HEALTH STATISTICS REPORT]

If contraception is the answer, why do 44% of African-American pregnancies end in abortion, when 83% are already using contraception?

If contraception is the answer, why are 55.4% of all abortions attributed to Blacks and Hispanics, despite the widespread practice of contraception? [Source: Center for Disease Control.]

Because contraception as the solution to the tragedy of human abortion is a myth.

It boils down to how serious one is in taking responsibility for one’s well being and that of those around you or potentially around you. Being an adult requires a great deal of thought constantly to avoid the regrettable things that can/do happen. Regardless of ethnicity, if thought is something one doesnt want to be bothered with, the decisions get more perilous. I was taught to think several times about everything and learn what problems may exist. I was warned to have my plans A-D complete and a plan E in the “hopper” just in case. Hurting others to deal w/ a situation was NOT an option for ANY of the plans. If we got out of the business of helping people not take responsibility for their actions and actually taught critical thinking in the schools, we might be able to stop having these discussions. Oh, and we could also stop paying for the destruction of families and souls too…that might help. There is nothing going here that didnt come as a result of teaching people that they need not be responsible or Godly.

Aah, critical thinking! If only today’s institutions of higher education didn’t loathe it so.
