Iowa State's "anti religion agenda"

Another Quiner’s Diner reader is offended after reading “I’m offended.”
Lee Burleson took the time to write to the President of Iowa State University after they announced the removal of Bibles from the university hotel:

Greetings.
Just a quick note to let you know that removing Bibles from guest rooms at Iowa States facilities reflects poorly on you, your staff, and your university.
Being that the Bibles are not provided by the state-run university, nor are being forced in any way upon tenants, the argument about constitutionality does not hold up.  It also follows that books provided by other religions would stand on equal ground, if offered.
In light of this decision, it seems that Iowa State is promoting an anti-religion agenda, which by any respected poll offends the vast majorityof your guests.
With actions like these, my remaining two children are gradually being steered away from ISU by this parent.

    It’s unfortunate, but necessary, to take the wind out of the president of your Cyclones. Best wishes in your goal of restoring respect in Midwest academia.

          I usually have a pocket Bible in my briefcase.
