Thank you for reposting this. I went back and forth on whether I should write this or not. But I felt the Holy Spirit pushing me to be show my truth.

On the other side of that coin I knew a girl in similar circumstances who did conceive out of wedlock, suffered a disastrous and blessedly short marriage, conceived baby number two before filing for divorce and was then advised by a well-meaning but misguided mother to abort. Although not particularly religious at the time that girl knew to the depths of her soul that a pregnancy means a baby and abortion was murder.

Life as a single parent, caring for two babies, was difficult but not impossible for the mother. But those two boys gave her more joy than any career or diploma from a stellar college ever could.

Boy #2 grew up, married and had a son….my first grandchild.

Some people would say I simply used my freedom of ‘choice’ and that is true. But our freedom to choose should only impact us and never infringe on the lives of others and never more so when it means freedom for one but death for another. And is a post-abortive mother really ever free from her choice to live her life as she wants at the expense of her baby’s Life?
