NASA may have lost their cachet in recent decades, but their latest mission to Mars is thrilling. It reminds us of what we’re capable of achieving when we have a goal, discipline, and leadership.

We need the same when it comes to tackling the fiscal cancer facing America.

    People don’t realize how many technological advances were made by NASA that carried over to other fields of science. Not only did the space race prompt its own technical revolution here in the U.S., it brought the country together with a common goal. I will never forget looking up at the moon and thinking “Wow! There are people walking on the moon.”

    And could we have found a better role model and hero than Neil Armstrong.
