The Boston Marathon tragedy

By Tom Quiner

Two bombs exploded at the Boston Marathon this afternoon.

News reports suggest two people are dead and countless injured.

Terrorism is suspected, but we really don’t know anything. Assuming it is terrorism, was it domestic or foreign?

At times like these, let us stand behind the president and set political difference aside.

    Senseless violence perpetrated by cowards.

In other news, Nancy Pelosi has put together a bill to ban backpacks.

You are kidding, right? Why, what’s the problem with backpacks?

Poor attempt at humor, one I shouldn’t even have attempted in the wake of such a tragedy. I was comparing it to the Newtown tragedy where liberals won’t “let a good crisis go to waste” and jumped on the gun control issue. With the Boston bombings, it has been suggested that someone had a bomb in their backpacks, which they then dropped into waste receptacles.

Sorry, Shawn, I didn’t pick up on the humor until you explained it. In the light of the explanation, I have to admit it really is funny. Thanks for the clarification.

I may disagree with his politics (a lot), but during a time of crisis, we need to remain united in these early days.

The Hypocrite has absolutely NO interest in that concept. Don’t be fooled.
