When you think about it, this statement could become a powerful public counter to the “war on women” charge, when accompanied by the abortion stats. My understanding is that while most Americans are accepting of abortion under some conditions, most Americans are also still not totally comfortable with “abortion on demand”. The “war on their babies” could also be extended to an extended counter that progressives are waging a “war on minorities”, since mass abortions are disproportionately minority. So what we have is a statement like, “Abortion is not a part of a war on women by conservatives: what we have are wars on our babies and on our black population led by progressives.”

Yes … and it seems as if no one can convey this counter-argument better than Dr. Carson.
