This was the first president in recent memory that just couldn’t work w/ the other party in congress AT ALL. Given where he spent some of his youth, it is not surprising he didn’t even consider the idea that he might need to or even should TRY. Where he spent some of his youth, the winner pretty much owned the show.End of statement. One might consider that in some countries, only people who are at least 4th generations born in the country on both sides are allowed all citizenship rights (voting or holding office) It keeps the ways of the “old country” from having too much influence on the gvt of the country discussed.
