Great cartoon! I wholeheartedly agree – people who earn minimum wage are so stupid they shouldn’t be allowed to earn enough to live a life outside of poverty. You’re a lovely Christian example to all us atheists. 😀

PS Love the fact the stupid person is black/hispanic.

Violet, what a pleasure to hear from you. Let us consider your concern, that the person on minimum “shouldn’t be allowed to earn enough to live a life outside of poverty.” Who said that? Minimum wage jobs tend to be starter jobs. If you want more money, improve your skills, get more education, and find a better job. What the minimum wage does is create an artificial barrier to the job market for low-skilled, entry workers. Now I never noticed the race of the person in the cartoon since I don’t like identity politics like you liberals do, but since you raised the subject, black teens have shockingly high unemployment rates, thanks to the minimum wage. In the name of compassion, we should reduce it, eliminate it, or create a sub-minimum wage for teens. Thanks for writing.

I don’t get the whole “identity politics” thing. When I look at a person, I don’t say “Oh, he’s black, she’s Hispanic, he’s Asian, etc.” Instead, I say, “He’s smiling at me. She’s friendly. He’s courteous. She’s a hard-worker. He’s smart. etc.” I try not to judge people, but when I do it is on the basis of the “content of their character”, not the the “color of their skin”. I guess we conservatives have moved on from race, and that is all that is really left to the liberals. Imagine how quickly they will lose their power base when people figure out that the ones who are keeping racism alive are those on the left. Read this by Morgan Freeman:

Please notice that there is a footnote that states “This is a true story.”

It is entirely possible that the artist was merely being accurate in his portrayal of the incident.

Oh, and to avoid further accusations, I used the gender-specific possessive pronoun “his” because the author’s first name appears to be Rob.

Great to see you back on the blog, Violet. 🙂

Exactly, Violet!.. And to top it off, the ignorant, minority woman in the cartoon is scraping a poverty-level subsistence by selling the charred flesh of INNOCENT COWS!!!! Oh, the humanity!
