Planned Parenthood is offended by the Little Sisters of the Poor

By Tom Quiner

The Little Sisters of the Poor serve the elderly poor.

The Little Sisters of the Poor serve the elderly poor.

The Little Sisters of the Poor are horrible people.

For starters, they take vows of chastity, poverty, obedience, and hospitality.

Just who are they trying to impress?

It gets worse. They devote their lives to helping the elderly poor.

Okay, I’m being snarky. How could anyone NOT be impressed by the good work being done by these Catholic nuns?

Planned Parenthood, that’s who.

Congressman Paul Ryan invited the Little Sisters of the Poor to be his guest at last week’s State of the Union address. Planned Parenthood was bent out of shape, tweeting the following:

“Never missing an opportunity, @SteveKingIA & @SpeakerRyan used tonight’s address to send an anti-abortion message. The disrespect.”

The Little Sisters of the Poor are everything that Planned Parenthood isn’t.

They’re chaste. On the other hand, PP supporters like Sandra Fluke want taxpayers to pay for their birth control.

They’re poor. PP executives are fat cats.

On the other hand, they have something in common with PP: They’re obedient to their order.

The Little Sisters of the Poor do what they’re told by their Mother Superior, just as PP supporters slavishly do what their Mother Superior, Cecile Richards, commands.

The Little Sisters of the Poor honor the Sacraments of the Catholic Church, which include Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony.

Planned Parenthood devotees honor the sacraments of a different religion, neo-Paganism, which includes child sacrifice (human abortion), nature worship (climate change), and sexual hedonism (gay marriage and unfettered tax-funded contraception).

The Little Sisters of the Poor live a life of restraint; Planned Parenthood followers don’t.

No wonder Planned Parenthood is so offended by these awful little nuns.

Let’s not forget. The Little Sister answer to a higher calling. GOD!

That will resonate with you and me, but certainly not with PP. Thanks for your spot-on observation!

Imagine, the sisters showing such “disrespect.” They are charitable to all human beings from conception to natural death. In other words, they respect what the Creator, the Author of Life, has made.

    As always, great writing, Tom!

In a time when virginity is considered a form of sexual deviance, and voluntary poverty just plain weird, it’s no surprise that the Little Sisters cause the wealthy libertines at Planned Parenthood to collapse onto their fainting couches and call for their smelling salts.

You have said much, and done so eloquently. Great response!
