When you live by deceit, you die by deceit
By Tom Quiner
Hillary Clinton doesn’t have the temperament to be president.
She has a compulsion to lie in all matters, sometimes when a lie isn’t even necessary. The late, great New York Times essayist, William Safire characterizes some of Hillary’s 90s scandals thusly:
“Drip by drip, like Whitewater torture, the case is being made that she is compelled to mislead, and to ensnare her subordinates and friends in a web of deceit.”
This was written in 1996. She never changes. Ever, ever, ever.
We now have the specter of a Russian hacker drip, drip, dripping Hillary’s emails onto the American public just before the election.
Hillary’s campaign spokesperson is furious. Says Brian Fallon in a Tweet:
“Media needs to stop treating Wikileaks like it is same as FOIA (Freedom of Information Act). Assange is colluding with Russian government to help Trump.”
Let us digest what the Clinton camp is suggesting. They are angry that a computer hacker is providing to the American people what is legally theirs (her public emails), you know, the same emails she illegally destroyed (but not before they fell into hackers’ hands).
Had Ms. Clinton kept her emails on a government server, this would not be a story. But she didn’t, because she wanted to keep her dealings secret. Why? Based on info that has dripped out, it looks like she didn’t want us to see that she is, in fact, using the Clinton Foundation as a “slush fund” just as Donald Trump suggests.
Even though William Safire wrote these words two decades ago …
“Americans of all political persuasions are coming to the sad realization that our First Lady — a woman of undoubted talents who was a role model for many in her generation — is a congenital liar.”
… nothing changes.
Mr. Safire refers to ‘one’ of her scandals from the 90s in this excerpt:
“Why the [Clinton] White House concealment? For good reason: The records show Hillary Clinton was lying when she denied actively representing a criminal enterprise known as the Madison S.& L., and indicate she may have conspired with Web Hubbell’s father-in-law to make a sham land deal that cost taxpayers $3 million.”
The Clinton’s pattern never changes, only the name of the scandal.
Abraham Lincoln once said, “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”
We know what Clintons do with power: abuse it. Always have. Always will.
Hillary Clinton does not have the temperament, the character, the integrity to be President of the United States.
Absolutely right!
Thanks for the reinforcement. So often a woman speaks politically and gets a lukewarm (at best) reaction. Everyone just needs to put their big boy/girl pants on. It’s clear to me Reagan is NOT going to reserect or be reincarnated to walk on water for the Republicans that just CAN’T seem to get around to vote for the mere humans that keep running for the GOP. Reagan has left a high standard for the GOP voter.I wonder how any Republican prior to 1980 ever managed to be elected. Could it be Republican voters were able to deal w/ the fact that politicians are pretty much a race of vampires?
Vote for one or vote for the other. Any choice or no choice is is a choice for the one or the other. Thanks to the growth of the number of people unable to make it on their own, sitting out the vote is really no longer a choice. If we cant vote for Trump, dont worry the other side will have no trouble voting for Clinton. So if we dont hold our noses for Trump we WILL hold our noses for Clinton…for at least 4 years. I can see Trump leaving after 4 to give Pence his shot. Clinton will run for a 2nd term…and probably get it. She and her husband are beloveds of the dems. She won’t be able to anything bad enough to get the boot after 4. Ya’ doubt it? Look at Obama. Could she possibly do worse than he has? I doubt it. After all, even HE said she is the “most qualified for the job EVER.”
