Oprah found a niche and capitalized on it. I like that Oprah couldn’t accept the fact that her guest, swimmer Diana Nyad was an atheist. She could not to terms with her preconceived notion of what an atheist is with the person sitting in front of her. I have found that she is typical of most Christians in that view.
I think I have come to the root of why Christians feel like they are being mistreated. It comes down to the fact that atheists exist. In the past, you could merely kill them. It’s a bit tougher today.
Christians have no problems looking down on atheists. If an atheist tries to defend himself he is labeled “angry”. We even had a sitting president claim atheists are untrustworthy. Atheists are one of the last minority groups you can openly bash.
Joe, an interesting take on the subject. As you might suspect, I don’t see it your way. Nonetheless, thanks for sharing your perspective.

Oprah is responsible for a significant portion of the denigration of our culture, and our country, between her awful program, and her propping up an unknown Illinois State Senator who seemingly came out of nowhere to run for president.

Yes, and we’re paying the price for his lack of competence and leftist ideology. Thanks for writing.
