Dissecting Obama’s remarks

Another terrorist attack.

More Islamic terrorists kill more innocent people.

And the president responds according to the progressive playbook with two sentences that display a lack of insight.

SENTENCE ONE:

“This is an attack not just on Paris, not just on the people on France, but an attack on all humanity and the universal values we share.”

What exactly are these universal values the world supposedly shares? Americans no longer can even agree amongst themselves on what our country’s values are, much less the world’s.

Republicans generally believe that each person from conception is endowed with a God-give right to Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. By ‘pursuit of happiness,’ they embrace the Founder’s definition of ‘property’ being that pursuit of happiness.

Democrats believe that no person has rights from conception. But at birth, they are endowed with a right to choice, equality, and the lifestyle of their choice. And God has nothing to do about it.

Republicans believe that marriage is all about children, and embrace a traditional definition of one-man, one-woman since children can only be produced by such a union.

Democrats believe that marriage is all about lifestyle validation, and if you disagree, you can and will most likely lose your job.

So Mr. Obama’s assertion that these terrorists attacks were attacks on universal values is surely mistaken; it would be more accurate to suggest that they are an attack on Western liberalism grounded in Judeo-Christian tradition, and not on all of humanity.

SENTENCE TWO

“We’re going to do whatever it takes to work with the French people and with nations around the world to bring these terrorists to justice.”

The president is proclaiming that the whole affair isn’t a war requiring a military response; but a crime requiring law-enforcement intervention.

And here’s where we get to the nitty gritty: if we’re not at war, then we never win. We simply spend years, and decades, and even centuries chasing down Islamic terrorists who kill, maim, rape, and behead innocents in every corner of the globe.

The president made it clear in his press conference that he’s not interested in ‘winning:’

“What I’m not interested in doing is posing or pursuing some notion of ‘American leadership’ or ‘America winning.’ “

Sadly, each Democratic candidate for president seems to agree. Bernie Sanders goes a step further and suggests terrorism is rooted in climate change.

Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and Martin O’Malley each refuse to even acknowledge the Muslim connection to daily world-wide terror.

For this reason alone, we need a change in leadership.
