Positive TV ad for Gary Johnson may get him into the debates

I am not endorsing the Libertarian candidates above.
Nor am I discounting them. I have major disagreements with them on issues like human abortion, marriage, and foreign policy. Those disagreements are so large that it is highly unlikely I could ever pull the lever for a Libertarian Party candidate.
But I like their ad.
It has substance.
It is positive.
It is hopeful.
Republicans, and especially Democrats (since they have a much larger war chest), are poised to spend millions of dollars bashing each other in the teeth the next few months.
In fact, Hillary recently spent some $40 million in negative TV spots against the Donald, to no effect. Trump continues to peck away at her lead as her negatives continue to climb.
How I long for ads with substance, that are positive, that are hopeful. Libertarian candidates, Gary Johnson and William Weld, could affect the outcome of this election if they hit 15% in the polls. At that point, networks would include them in presidential debates, exposing their positive, hopeful message to a much wider audience.
A CNN poll that came out three days ago had them at 13%. With ads like the one above, fifteen percent is within their grasp.
Gary Johnson is the marijuana legalization candidate. Everything else is – shall I say it – a smoke screen. Believe it or not, I’ve actually met the guy – he was incoherent.
Maybe he was simply high. 😉 Don’t get me wrong, Art, I’m not a fan. I did like the ad, though.
