I don’t know, while I wouldn’t stamp it (no pun intended) as his proudest moment, I think that not allowing so many people to go hungry is a rather honorable thing.
I highly doubt that, I do. February alone had 275,000 jobs added in the private sector. GDP growth rate has been steady, with a minor dip since late 2009. And the unemployment rate has been falling, slowly, since its peak in 2010.
Not to mention, since people are able to still have money and eat, businesses do not suffer as much if those provisions weren’t made. I just feel that, with the post made above, we’re not looking at both sides of the fact.
If I remember correctly, the food stamp spending also didn’t suddenly increase with Obama. Reagan, Clinton, and Bush Sr/Jr also extended those benefits as well. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AnuDkXlX0o for my source, and again I admit I may be off on this)
The Thirteenth Ammendment officially abolished slavery. However, the Federal Government has merely institutionalized that abhorrent form of enslavement. And those who are uneducated and have been born into this system have little nope for their own betterment. This post speaks to that issue and should be sent to our sitting President.
