After 7 1/2 years of lavish cost overruns, Wollman Rink was still closed.

New York’s bloated and union-dominated bureaucracy was too inept to get the ice frozen on a lousy-stinking skating rink after 7 1/2 years of trying.

In desperation, they turned to real estate mogul, Donald Trump, who took over the project at no profit.

He got the thing rebuilt and re-opened in 3 1/2 months. Oh … and it came in under budget…
