I regularly hear reference to the “failed trickle down”. They are actually trying to link this country’s mess of an economy to Reagan. I was very young (13-21) when he was POTUS, but i do recall how much better life got for my divorced mom (w/ no family, exhusband, or gvt help)and me. Everyone over the age of 15 I knew had a job. We all had spare $. All my classmates had great enthusiasm for our future. We were going to go live out our American dreams. This is very different from my mom’s situation under Carter and my slightly older husband tells me about for his classmates. I may only be 48, but I have vivid memory of the economy going back to ’74.I was just a child, but I could really see the difference Reagan made. These jerks want to forget all that.I lived the upward mobility of ‘trickle down’. They speak in terms of the people on the dole. The dole should never provide upward mobility. One should work for that. Under trickle down work was plentiful and financially gainful.

You are spot on, Ms. Knapp, and the data supports you.
