The significance of “Baby D”

By Tom Quiner

The verdict is in.

America’s best-known human abortionist was convicted of murder.

A jury of Dr. Kermit Gosnell’s peers found him:

√ Guilty of involuntary manslaughter of a 41 year old woman who came to his clinic for “reproductive health care.”

√ Guilty of murdering Baby A.

√ Guilty of murdering Baby B.

√ Guilty of murdering Baby C.

√ Not guilty in the death of Baby D.

Let us dwell on the tragically nameless Baby D. Doc Gosnell may have escaped a conviction for Baby D simply because the jury wasn’t sure if she was already dead when the doc “snipped” her neck.

To clarify, snipping is not a cute word in this context. It involved taking scissors and cutting a baby’s spine to kill it. In the case of Baby D, prosecutors said the baby let out a soft whimper before her execution. Perhaps they were being overly dramatic. The jury clearly didn’t think she was born alive, and then killed.

Here is the significance of Baby D’s murder. There is NO SIGNIFICANCE between her and Baby A, B, & C.

None … except location.

Human abortion hangs on a fragile premise: that the child in the womb is not a person. If the law acknowledged her personhood, she would be protected by the 14th Amendment.

If you were to show a photo of Baby D and Baby A to, let’s say, a kindergartner, and asked what they are looking at, the answer would be “a baby.”

You know that is true. You know that even a five year old understands that a “fetus” is a person.

Ironically, over in Cleveland, kidnapper Ariel Castro may be charged with murder for causing 4 miscarriages in the women he kidnapped, raped, and impregnated.

If convicted, he too, could get the death penalty, just as Dr. Gosnell could.

The state of Ohio considers the baby in the womb as a human being, a person protected by the 14th Amendment, if she is killed by violence perpetrated against the mother, but not if the mother is okay with the violence.

Human abortion is based on a lie.

Doc Gosnell and Ariel Castro expose the lie for everyone to see.

The question is, how long will the Democratic Party allow the human abortion trade to flourish? After all, they oppose every single initiative proposed by Republicans to regulate the slaughter.

The Gosnell case demonstrates the obvious destructiveness of the industry.

The Gosnell case demonstrates that human abortion has nothing to do with women’s reproductive health.

The Gosnell case crystalizes the true reason on why human abortion flourishes: money. There is a lot of money in killing babies.

Doc Gosnell knocked down $1.8 million a year from his human abortion business. He had $250,000 in cash stashed in his house. He had a beach home and rental properties.

So let’s be honest about human abortion. Human beings are dying by the millions. Women’s reproductive health is being relentlessly compromised. And it’s happening because it is a cash cow for human beings who don’t care that they’re getting rich on the backs of babies.

I oppose capital punishment. But if Dr. Gosnell receives the death penalty, what would be more fitting than for him to have his neck “snipped” with a tree pruner?

In the meantime, Baby D did not receive justice in this life, but she will in the next.

Her legacy will be profound. It is this: human abortion is built on a lie.

He’s 72. Years of appeals. The state will not put him to death. However, I would not be surprised if a fellow inmate in prison took it upon himself to do so. It’s what happened to Jeffrey Dahmer.

I imagine planned parenthood will begin offering seminars titled “Timing is everything – lessons learned from Baby D”.

Today an Al Kresta guest charitably said he hopes that Gosnell becomes the next Bernard Nathanson.

What an incredible story he has as founder of NARAL.

At this point, I don’t think Gosnell would be credible.

Perhaps not, but the point was that God can turn any soul around.

Planned Parenthood is today’s “Eden” serpent. Satan is telling these women they have the right to abort, the right to end life, the right to murder . . . after all “it is your body” and like Eve they fall for his lies.

Men like Gosnell are Satan’s tools in his shed of horror. Pride, lust, greed rule in their hearts. As for his punishment . . . he will be tormented for the sins he committed and will hear all those babies cries as he burns in hell for eternity.

    God save his soul . . .
