We miss Tim Russert

The late, great Tim Russert explained the role of the media:

“The primary responsibility of the media is accountability OF government.”

Mr. Russert was a liberal, but he was just as ruthlessly objective in his grilling of liberal politicians as he was toward conservatives.

The Tim Russerts of the Mainstream Media are fading away, being replaced by partisan lapdogs whose new mantra is:

“The primary responsibility of the media is accountability TO government” … as long as that government is run by liberals.

We miss you, Tim.
