September 11th
By Tom Quiner
I’ve been in Las Vegas this week on business.
Quiner’s Diner had to take a back burner.
Karen and I flew back home today, September 11th, on the 13th anniversary of 9/11. We prayed a little harder than usual getting onto a plane today.
I got an especially rigorous pat-down. When I got home, TSA agents had rummaged my luggage and left a leaflet apologizing for the intrusion.
A quick thought: we’re still at war. We were at war before 9/11. We will be at war for the rest of my life.
Islamic terrorism is a fact of life. I know it is politically incorrect to use the words Islam and terrorism in the same sentence. But that is our reality.
Islam has declared war on the world. No, not all Muslims are terrorists. The overwhelming majority are not, and, in fact, are loving, decent people. Sadly, though, there are enough of them who hate infidels so very much that they deny them their right to life.
Thank-you, God, for getting us home safely today. May God bless and protect the United States of America during this time of conflict.
