Yeah, I can’t really defend this one. It’s just bad politics. There are a thousand different directions Dems could have gone with this one. I don’t think race plays a part in this, and suggesting it changes the entire conversation.
It’s political grandstanding. Nothing more, nothing less. The Dems want her confirmed and the Repubs want the bill passed with the present verbiage. It is unfortunate that she is being used as a pawn, but if she is confirmed then she should get used to it. Holder has been a pawn for the Obama administration since day 1. I see no reason why he would treat her any differently.
