Fighting Planned Parenthood misinformation

By Tom Quiner

Over half of Americans don’t know about the current Planned Parenthood scandal.

In case you’re one of the 53% (according to a Monmouth University Poll) who are out of the loop, undercover investigative journalists have produced a series of 7 videos that reveal Planned Parenthood harvests organs from aborted babies and sells them for profit. More horrifically, some of the harvesting took place on a baby that was still alive.

The mainstream media have largely blacked out or downplayed the story, so your ignorance is somewhat understandable.

Of the 47% who are aware of the story, many are Planned Parenthood apologists who may not fully grasp the big picture.

A friend of mine, Rhonda Phillips, volunteers for Iowa Right to Life. She was working at their booth at the Iowa State Fair this week and shares this encounter:

“A man approached me at the Iowa Right to Life State Fair Booth yesterday stating that while he was against abortion, Planned Parenthood did offer many good services to the poor.

I pointed out that thousands of clinics all over the United States offered far better medical care for the poor than PP.

Then I said, “What if you had a neighbor that helped all his poor neighbors by mowing their lawns, running errands, babysitting their kids for free but he also raped a percentage of the neighbors he helped. Would you consider that his good works outweighed the fact that he was a rapist? PP murders thousands of unborn babies every year while insisting they provide healthcare for the poor. Last I checked murder wasn’t listed under healthcare.”

He said, “Well you’re right” and walked away with a changed perspective.”

Good job, Rhonda. Rhonda represents thousands of ardent defenders of human life engaging friends, family, and strangers in intelligent dialogue on this issue.

Misinformation abounds.

The Rhonda Phillips of this world are making a difference. Keep up the good work!
