I watched the debate and this video and I think Rubio’s approach with Trump is off. First off, he’s making fun of Trump for spelling something when it actually was spelled correctly (choker) and he clearly doesn’t know the meaning of the word. Secondly, in the debate he just wouldn’t stop when one jab would have been powerful, but the same jab over and over was childish. I kept saying, “He needs to stop now.” Becoming Trump is not the answer to Trump.

Having Trump in this election is so bad-for everyone. I don’t see how we can come out of this disastrous election with a winner. It’s not looking good to me at all.

What do you think is the right way to handle the Trump Card?

I do not know. Nothing has worked. He is going to be the nominee, barring a miracle. I like the approach of pointing out how ridiculous the man is, which is an Alinsky tactic, I admit. Trump is ridiculous. You point it out by turning the tactic back on him. It is probably too late. Rubio is employing a “Hail Mary” pass at this point. In today’s WSJ, Peggy Noonan nails it. There are two classes of people, the protected class (elites/establishment) and the unprotected class (the rest of us schmucks). The protected imposed an order on the rest of us they don’t have to live in. Trump is the savior for the unprotected class, goes her analysis, not that she’s a Trump fan.

Glad I recognize that I have only one Savior, and he doesn’t wear makeup that makes him look like a jackolantern.

Let’s pray for a miracle. Our country needs it.
