Good news: Trump slips in Iowa

By Tom Quiner

Ted Cruz has taken a slight lead over Donald Trump in Iowa.

This is good news, because Donald Trump would most likely get trumped by Hillary Clinton in a national election.

An NBC/WSJ poll shows Hillary beating the Donald by 10 points, fifty to forty.

However, the same poll shows her only beating Ted Cruz by 3 points, forty-eight to forty-five.

In the video above, Newt Gingrich explains what is going on. Very simply, Americans are more than fed up with the broken federal bureaucracy, many loathe it.

Look at the Veterans Administration.

Look at the IRS.

Look at Homeland Security.

Tashfeen Malik made radical postings on Facebook as recently as 2012, and yet Homeland Security still welcomed her to the U.S. to join forces with American born Rizwan Farook to wage jihad on U.S. soil.

A significant portion of U.S. voters are giving up on candidates they perceive as being too establishment. They perceive them as being culpable in the brokenness of Big Government.

Donald Trump is no Republican.

He is not a man of character.

A man who mocks everyone who isn’t nice to him is incapable of leading the most powerful nation in the world.

So Ted Cruz’s surge is good news for America.

What could be better?

How about Marco Rubio.

Senator Rubio beats Hillary in a head-to-head match-up by 3 points, forty-eight to forty-five.
