I am a bit upset with you, Tom.
I had to find out elsewhere that the new Pope announced that even an atheist like me will go to heaven if my works prove me worthy.
Glad to hear it, Bob, but you may have to spend a little time in purgatory for preparation. Heck, I probably will, too;-)
P.S. I think you’re a closet Catholic, but just afraid to admit it out of fear of political-correctness.

If this is true, then the pope dropped the ball.
John 14:6 “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life and NO ONE shall come to the father but through me.”
I’m not sure how any pastor, reverend, minister, etc., let alone the Pope, can counsel others that they can possibly enter heaven without a relationship with Christ.
The media didn’t put it in its full context. I think Jimmy Akin and Scott Hahn cleared the air.
I think people are so eager for the Pope to be the Anti-Christ they will read into what he says what they want to hear. Anyone that is waiting for the Lord’s return is looking for the signs Jesus told us must happen before he returns.
